Essam Ansari, MD
Dr. Essam Ansari began his internal medicine, pulmonary, and critical care medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Ansari received a Master’s degree in Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health. He is board-certified in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and is a Sleep Medicine Specialist.
Dr. Ansari, a physician leader, has a passion for Patient Safety, Quality Care, and Patient Experience. He serves as the CEO for InCare, PLLC, which provides pulmonary, sleep medicine, and intensive care unit services. He also has a solid background in Process Improvement. Dr. Ansari’s interests include Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep disorders, Asthma and COPD.
He enjoys reading, listening, and reading audiobooks, as well as spending time with his children.
Essam Ansari, MD

Heather Licciardi, Director of People, Brand, & Culture

Through her hospital role, she gained invaluable experience in helping complex patients and their families and ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. Kelly Orlando, VP of Operations
Kelina “Kelly” Orlando is a people-focused, visionary healthcare leader who drives strategic growth and operational excellence. As Vice President of Operations at InCare, she partners closely with physician leaders to expand services and enhance patient-centered care.
Prior to InCare, Kelly held multiple senior leadership roles at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she oversaw diverse ambulatory services and managed satellite health centers. She also served as Interim Leader for a community health center, leading operational improvements and strengthening revenue cycle performance.
Kelly holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a BA in Economics from Clark University. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

Patrick Scanlon, MD
Dr. Scanlon is the Director of Patient Experience at InCare, PLLC.
Dr. Scanlon graduated from the NY College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. His special interests include COPD, Asthma, interventional bronchoscopy procedures such as EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound) and navigational bronchoscopy.
In his spare time, Dr. Scanlon enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristen, a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, their two children, Charlie and Maddy, and their dog, Martini. Dr. Scanlon is the Town Physician of North Andover MA, and on the North Andover Board of Health.

Grace Aube, Outpatient Manager
Grace joined InCare in 2022. Prior to joining us, she previously worked at Dartmouth-Hitchcock for almost eight years in the Specialty Care Departments as a Supervisor. Prior to her career at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, she was a Licensed Nursing Assistant. Grace has also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. Grace prides herself and her team on providing exceptional patient care and strives for patient satisfaction. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, and their two beagles, Truitt & Carter. They enjoy camping, spending time outside, and watching the Red Sox.

He has practiced at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer, Massachusetts since 2004, where he serves as Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director of the ICU, and Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Husain completed fellowships in Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. His clinical practice includes inpatient pulmonary and critical care, outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine, and advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy, endotracheal intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion.

Taylor graduated with a BSN from the University of Rhode Island in 2013 and completed her MSN at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2016. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the Medical ICU at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA for three years, then transitioned to Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Haverhill, MA, where she has been working as a Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner since January 2020.

Valerie started her career at St. Vincent’s Hospital but then moved on to work at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for many years. Valerie also took part of lung transplant program through Brigham and Women’s Hospital and spoke at many different conferences about Lung transplant and lung disease. During her spare time, she enjoys volunteering at different athletic events and road races.

Madeline previously practiced as a hospitalist Nurse Practitioner at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Cheshire Medical Center, where she independently managed medically complex patients and served in a quality leadership role. She has also provided comprehensive addiction care, including medication-assisted treatment, while working closely with behavioral health and care coordination teams.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Yale School of Nursing and holds ACLS and BLS certification. Madeline is passionate about continuity of care, patient advocacy, and evidence-based practice.

Juliana is experienced in performing detailed clinical assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, prescribing and managing medications, and partnering closely with patients and families to support long-term health and well-being. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Founded to provide high-quality treatment with respect & compassion
InCare was founded in 2018 by Dr. Essam Ansari. His goal was to create a team of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine specialists who seek to provide modern, high-quality treatment while also emphasizing respect, compassion, and teamwork. Our goal is to improve the coordination of care for patients across the healthcare continuum in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
